Synx Pass

Identity, authentication, and ownership.

People, services, and machines are recognized here. Access follows the owner, and it can move when ownership moves.

Who is allowed to see the data

Synx Pass is the authentication and identification system for ownership. It covers access control, authentication, encryption, and the rest of the security around a connection.

It is token based. An endpoint refreshes its token to keep sending data. Once a person is registered, they can take part in the Real Time Web and join services. Morph Space uses Synx Pass for authorization.

Four places ownership can sit

A network value chain has at least four parties: the path the data travels, the domain owner, the service provider, and the person who owns the data at the end. Synx Pass can hold ownership in each of those layers.

Data from a source is only consumed by a client that shares that ownership on both ends of the path. Transfer the ownership of an instance, and the next person receives the data. The source itself is not copied away.
